CCM Minnesota Hockey High Performance Events Continue This Weekend - 
Festivals to Take Place in Duluth, Plymouth and Blaine


St. Paul, MN – April 24, 2019 – Minnesota Hockey, in conjunction with CCM and the Minnesota Hockey Coaches Association (MHCA), will continue the CCM Minnesota Hockey High Performance season with four major events this weekend. The 10th annual Boys’ and Girls’ CCM High School National Invitational Tournaments (NIT), the Boys’ and Girls’ CCM High Performance Final 54, the Boys’ and Girls’ CCM High Performance 15 Festivals and the Boys’ and Girls’ CCM High Performance 14 Festivals will all take place this weekend.

 

“Thursday kicks off our biggest weekend of High Performance hockey,” said Mike MacMillan, Director of the CCM Minnesota Hockey High Performance Programs. “All the players participating in this weekend’s events will benefit from great competition while being evaluated by some of the top scouts and coaches from the NHL, college and junior leagues.”

 

The Girls’ NIT, Final 54 and HP 15 events will be taking place at Fogerty Arena in Blaine, while the corresponding Boys’ events will be held at Plymouth Ice Center in Plymouth. The Boys’ and Girls’ HP 14 events will occur at Mars Lakeview Arena and Amsoil Arena in Duluth.

 

The CCM High School National Invitational Tournaments begin Thursday, April 25 and will continue through Sunday, April 28. The tournaments will feature four Minnesota teams – Boys Senior All Stars, Girls Senior All Stars, Boys HP 18 and Girls HP 18 – that will face off against top high school aged competition from around the country including Massachusetts, Michigan, North Dakota and Wisconsin.  The rosters and schedule for the CCM Boys NIT can be found here and for the Girls’ NIT here.  

 

The CCM High Performance Final 54 kicks off on April 26 and features boys and girls players that took part in the recently completed High Performance 16 & 17 Spring Festivals. At the end of this weekend, the top players will be selected to represent Minnesota Hockey at a national festival, sponsored by USA Hockey, which involves the best players from across the country.  The rosters and schedule for the Final 54 Boys can be found here and the Final 54 Girls can be found here.

 

The CCM High Performance 15 Spring Festivals begin Friday, April 26 and will consist of the top boys and girls players with a 2004 birth year. The festival will consist of a series of games played in a round robin format. The top 102 players will be chosen for participation in the CCM Minnesota Hockey High Performance Summer 15 Festival in St. Cloud, Minn. The top players from the Summer Festival are selected to represent Minnesota Hockey at a national festival/camp sponsored by USA Hockey. The CCM High Performance 14 Spring Festivals start on Friday, April 26 and will conclude on April 28. The festival will feature the top boys and girls born in 2005 from each district of Minnesota Hockey. The teams will compete in three games over the weekend, with the top 120 boys and girls advancing to the CCM Minnesota Hockey High Performance Summer 14 Festivals in St. Cloud, Minn.
