What is the HBXLHL?

• If you simply want to play hockey once a week because you love the game, and are a bantam or high school aged player, lace up your skates with the XL Hockey League.
• The Herb Brooks XL Hockey League was created to offer players an organized, fun, non-threatening, no-check hockey game once every week, to allow student-athletes to continue playing hockey while focusing on another sport.
• Playing one hockey game a week will give you the time to concentrate on your other sport, snowboard, do your homework, skate outdoors, go on family vacations, spend holidays wherever you want and do whatever else you want, but, most importantly, the Herb Brooks XL Hockey League keeps you in the game that you love!
• Sign up as a team/group, or individually, and the league will place players on teams based on the area you are from.
• The Herb Brooks XL Hockey League is Minnesota Hockey and USA Hockey certified.

PHILOSOPHY
Hockey is a game that can be played for a lifetime and by offering a fun and safe place to play, more kids will keep playing!
It’s our goal to have friends, relatives and classmates play together, with a strong emphasis on parity among the teams in the league.
