State coaches use annual fall clinic to share ideas, discuss issues, build camaraderie

The Minnesota Hockey Coaches Association annual fall clinic, held this year in late October in Duluth, gives state high school hockey coaches the opportunity to hear presentations from some of the nation's top college coaches and former NHL players as well as share ideas with their peers as they develop their own skills.

"Building a little community is never a bad thing," MHCA president and Benilde-St. Margaret's coach Ken Pauly said. "We are all competitors … we do realize that only the names change, the stories are the same, the challenges are the same. And in the end, we are all in it together."
