CCM Minnesota Hockey High Performance Events Continue This Weekend  

HP 14 Festival Added In Duluth; FAST Hockey to Live Stream Boys & Girls National Invitational Tournaments  

  

St. Paul, MN – April 19, 2016 – Minnesota Hockey, in conjunction with CCM and the Minnesota Hockey Coaches  

Association (MHCA)will continue the CCM Minnesota Hockey High Performance season with four major events. The seventh annual 2016 Boys’ and Girls’ CCM High School National Invitational Tournaments (NIT), the Boys’ and Girls’ CCM High Performance Final 54, the Boys’ and Girls’ CCM High Performance 15 Festival and the inaugural Boys’ and Girls’ CCM High Performance 14 Festival will all take place this weekend.  

  

“We’re excited for another full weekend of spectacular hockey,” said Mike MacMillan, Executive Director of the MHCA. “All the players participating in this weekend’s events will benefit from great competition while being evaluated by some of the top scouts and coaches from the NHL, college and junior leagues.”   

  

The Girls’ NIT, Final 54 and HP 15 events will be taking place at Braemar Arena in Edina, while the corresponding Boys’ events will be held at Plymouth Ice Center in Plymouth. The Boys’ and Girls’ HP 14 events will occur at the Heritage Sports Center and Mars Lakeview Arena in Duluth.   

  

The CCM High School National Invitational Tournaments begin Thursday, April 21 and will continue through Sunday, April  

24. The tournaments will feature four Minnesota teams – Boys Senior All Stars, Girls Senior All Stars, Boys HP 18 and Girls HP 18 – that will face off against top high school aged competition from around the country including Massachusetts, Michigan, North Dakota and Wisconsin The rosters and schedule for the CCM Boys NIT can be found here and for the Girls’ NIT here.     

  

For the first time, the NIT games will be streamed online via FAST Hockey. The Boys’ and Girls’ NIT games will be available live and on-demand by visiting www.FASTHockey.com, creating an account and purchasing a subscription.   

  

The CCM High Performance Final 54 kicks off on April 22 and features boys and girls players that took part in the recently completed High Performance 16 & 17 Spring Festivals. At the end of this weekend, the top players will be selected to represent Minnesota Hockey at a national festival, sponsored by USA Hockey, which involves the best players from across the country.  The rosters and schedule for the Final 54 Boys can be found here and the Final 54 Girls can be found here.  

  

The CCM High Performance 15 Spring Festival begins Friday, April 22 and will consist of the top boys and girls players with a 2001 birth year. The festival will consist of a series of games played in a round robin format. The top 102 players will be chosen for participation in the CCM Minnesota Hockey High Performance Summer 15 Festival in St. Cloud, Minn. The top players from the Summer Festival are selected to represent Minnesota Hockey at a national festival/camp sponsored by USA Hockey. The rosters and schedule for the Boys’ 15 festival can be found here, and for the Girls’ here.   

  

The CCM High Performance 14 Spring Festival starts on Friday, April 22 and will conclude on April 24. The inaugural festival will feature the top boys and girls born in 2002 from each district of Minnesota Hockey. The teams will all compete in three games over the weekend. As part of the extensive CCM partnership with Minnesota Hockey, CCM will once again be the title partner of the High  

Performance weekend. “We’re thrilled to once again be the presenting partner for such great events,” said Steve Rixe, Regional Sales Representative for Reebok-CCM Hockey Inc. “The talent level at these tournaments is amazing and we are proud to watch these kids compete here before moving on to the next level of hockey.”
