Greetings Coaches

We hope your season is going well as you get ready for the second half push.  It’s that time of year to be thinking about the HP Great 8 (for Sr’s and 18’s).  This will be year 2 of running a combined event between both the Sr’ and 18’s (4 teams of 18’s and 4 teams of Sr’s) that will have program pool play on Friday and Saturday and cross-over games on Sunday.  The event will take place on Friday, March23 - Sunday, March 25, 2018 at Doug Woog Arena in South St Paul. 

With this new structure, we are going to centralize the nomination/voting process for coaches by using a “Google Form” to collect nominees (you DO NOT need a google account in order to nominate...the link will allow you to nominate regardless of your email address).  Team selection will be determined by input from the following groups: coaches, scouts, and section general managers.

Below you will find names of your section reps and GM’s for both the 18’s and Sr’s.  The timeline for coaches is located below.  You will need to click on your appropriate section for each of the Sr’s and 18’s to nominate you players.  Before nominating please make sure they are able to participate if selected.  If they know they can’t be there please don’t nominate them.

In order to help streamline the nomination process, we will follow the timeline below.

Timeline for Coaches:

1. January 5, 2018- Start your nomination process (see your section links in the tables below for both the Sr’s and 18’s- it is imperative that you use your correct section link for the nominations).  Make sure to nominate players to both the Great 8 HP Sr’s and HP 18’s as you see fit for your team with the appropriate section links.  Please only nominate your players that can actually attend the event.  If they are going to be gone on spring break or something like that don’t nominate them.  You will want to have the following information available to you while you complete the nomination form:  

1. Player’s address
2. Parent name(s)
3. Parent email address
4. Player/Parent cell phone number.  You will have the ability to submit more than 1 player after you submit your initial player.  
5. Again, please remember to nominate players that you feel are among the elite players in your section and are going to beavailable for the event. 

1. January 26, 2018- Nominations close.
2. January 29-February 2- Coaches will be sent information to vote for players.
3. Before Playoffs begin (mid February)- Notify players who were selected and give players registration link to complete registration process.
